The MGB is One of the Most Popular and Iconic Sports Cars of All Time, Blessed with Simple and Reliable Mechanicals and Easily Available Spare & Performance Parts these British Roadsters are One of the Easiest Classic Sports Cars to Own and Maintain. Produced between 1962 and 1980 the MGB Underwent a Program of Constant Change over this time. Like many Classic Cars, the First of the Series is Often Regarded as the Most Pure, Still True to the Original Design brief.
This Beautifully Presented 1964 MGB MkI Roadster was Assembled new at the Pressed Metal Corporation plant in Enfield, NSW. The Champion Red Coachwork is Highlighted by the Chrome Wire Wheels and Excellent Brightwork including a Chrome Boot Luggage Rack, should there be a need for You to Carrying Additional Lightweight Items. The Weather Equipment includes Two Tonneau Covers, one in a Quality Black Fabric, the other in a Black Vinyl, Matching the Soft Top Hood.
The Interior has been Retrimmed in Contrasting Black Vinyl with Black Carpet, and MG Logo Black Over Mats. There are a Few Deviations from Standard in the Cockpit, Including: a Period style Moto-Lita Wood Rim Steering Wheel, a Wooden Gear Knob, a Pioneer Head Unit with Twin 6 Focal Speakers, Individual Water Temperature and Oil Pressure Gauges, a Battery Isolator Switch and a CTEK Battery Charger Port.
The Engine Bay Presentation is Excellent, with the Only Apparent Modification being a Pair of Chrome Air Cleaners. The Engine was Fully Reconditioned in 2014 by Classic & Sportscar Boutique, Including: Full Strip, Hot Tanked Block, Bore & Hone, Resurfaced Deck, Line Hone Main tunnels, Crack Test Crankshaft, Machined Crankshaft, Machined Valve Seats, Resurfaced Head, Regrind Camshaft, New Main Bearings (.010), New Conrod Bearings (.010), New Pistons & Rings (.040), New Crankshaft Thrust Washers (STD), New Timing Chain & Tensioner, New Inlet & Exhaust Valves, New Cam Bearings (STD), New Cam Followers and All Associated Seals and Gaskets.
