BRITISH BRUTE IN CARMINE RED
Following the Successful Introduction of Triumph's 2.5L Straight Six in the TR5 & TR250, Triumph Started Production on the TR6 in Late 1968, Ready for the Market in January 1969, with Production Continuing till July 1976, by which time 91,850 TR6's were Built.
Built in very late 1973 this CF code TR6 would have been sold new to the US, fitted with Twin Stromberg Carburettors Capable of meeting the American Emissions Standards, while the Lucas Mechanical Injection Failed.
This Triumph presents very well finished in 'Carmine Red' with contrasting Black Vinyl Interior Trim, the Seats featuring Velour inserts. The brightwork and Chrome Wire Wheels add to the Sparkling Presentation, while the Weather Equipment includes a Tonneau cover and Soft Top both being in quality Fabric rather than Vinyl.
The only mechanical changes to the original specification are the replacement of original Strombergs with a pair of HS6 SU carburettors whilst the original exhaust manifold was replaced with a set of Extractors for Improved Performance. A Thermostatically Controlled Electric Fan helps keep the Engine Temperature under control in the warmer weather while H4 Halogen Headlights will ensure that you can see your Way Home if you are out at night.
The Rack and Pinion Steering is Light and Precise, Directing the TR6 Wherever you Please, with the Independent Suspension at Both the Front and Rear providing a Smoother more Compliant Ride than Other Cars of the Period with Live Rear Axles, Allowing for Comfortable Touring.
