RESTORED TWIN BIG LIGHT BJ8 IN HEALEY BLUE
Imported from the US State of Indiana in January 2005, this 1963 3000 MkIII (BJ8), Finished in the Most Desirable Combination of Healey Blue over Ivory White, with Dark Blue Trim, Matching Blue Hood and Sparkling 72 Spoke Chrome Wire Wheels has been Lovingly Restored.
Following its Arrival in Melbourne, the Healeys One and Only Australian Owner Treated his New Acquisition to a Ground Up Restoration, which was Carried Out by Callanish Restorations P/L, with the Entire Process being Completed in April 2008.
A Comprehensive File, with Photographs and Receipts Details the Expenditure for the Body and Chassis Restoration, while there are also Invoices for the Full Reconditioning of the 6 Cylinder Engine, Including Balancing Performed by M&W Engine Services P/L and the Complete Retrimming of the Cockpit, to Original Specification by Sports and Specialist Trimming as well as many other Mechanical Refurbishments.
Presenting Visually as a Phase 3, 3000 MkIII with both the Front and Rear Shrouds Adorned by the Later, Larger Indicators and Tail/Park Lights Introduced in May 1965, this Healey has had a Number of Improvements, Aiding in its Safety, Reliability and Serviceability. These include: a Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion, an Alternator, a Hi-Torque Starter Motor, a 5 Blade Texas Kooler Fan, an Aston Flip Top Fuel Filler, a 15 MotoLita Woodrimmed Steering Wheel and a High Mounted Rear Vision Mirror.
