On its Release the MGB became an Instant Success. The Path had been Set for a Series of Cars which would Continue in Production for 18 Years, Selling over 500,000 Examples. Its Clean Lines, Proportions and Relatively Simple Mechanicals were a Hit with Enthusiasts, of All Skill Levels.
The MGB GT was First Released in 1965 with their Coupe Styling offering many Advantages including: Reduced Road Noise, a Weatherproof Cabin, a much Larger Amount of Usable Storage Space, Rear Seats and Most Importantly a Lockable and Secure Cabin.
The MG B GT Jubilee was produced to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of MG. This GT Jubilee was built on 30th April 1975 and is #380 out of a total of 751 GT models produced. It presents well in its correct British Racing Green with gold 50th Anniversary logo side flashes along with Gold and Black Alloy Wheels. This GT was fitted with tinted glass, headrests and external black mirrors.
The Interior features black Leather Seats with contrasting gold piping. Upgrades include a Slide-Away Sliding Sunroof, a period style Moto-Lita Woodrim Steering Wheel, a Ford Type 9 Five Speed Gearbox and the Speedometer reading in km/h, whilst the Period Style Radio also has Blue Tooth connectivity
This GT Jubilee was imported from the UK by its English owner in 2011, with ADR Compliance being granted in W.A. on 9th March 2012. A Comprehensive Receipt File dating back to 2010 details Expenditure on Parts and Mechanical Works until present, with the most recent works including: New Brake Lines, a Re-Seal of both the Engine and Gearbox, Rebuilt King Pins, Recoed Front Shocks and much more.
