The Healey Factory

Sold new by Triumph Motor Company Ltd of London UK to Mr. G.Woolley, a dentist from Ferntree Gully Victoria, to Australian specification while he was studying in the UK, on the 27th of April 1972. The TR6 would make its way home to Australia soon after, gaining the Victorian registration LXR990 in 1974.

This TR6 is finished in the original colour of Sapphire Blue with Tan vinyl trim and cloth soft top hood with Black tonneau cover. Mechanical improvements include a stainless steel sports exhaust, Bosch fuel pump and uprated alternator with its last service completed in March 2025 by Caulfield Jag, who have regularly maintained the Triumph since its last sale in August 2014 (just 14,620 miles ago).

A large history file supports the Triumph, dating back to 1983, including documentation for a rebuild of the engine and gearbox in 1985, before a comprehensive engine rebuild again in 1996 with invoices noting: 0.020 main & rod bearings, cam bearings, head gasket, timing chain, head studs, 0.040 piston rings, extractors, Weber carburettor conversion kit (twin 32/26 DGV), flywheel machining, full engine balance, head decking and a Iskenderian cam.
