RARE 2 SEAT 3000, WITH MECHANICAL UPGRADES

The 2 seat Austin Healey 3000 variant known as the BN7 has become one of the most sought after 6 Cylinder Healey's, with their uncompromising styling, and lower production figures. Of the 13,650 Austin Healey 3000 MkI's produced, only 2,825 were BN7's, making up just 20.7% of the production, with the remainder comprising of BT7's, the 2+2 seat variant.

This White over Black BN7, complimented by its Red interior, wood-rim period sports steering wheel, excellent chromework, brilliant 72 spoke chrome wire wheels and flip top fuel filler is an excellent example and comes equipped with a vinyl soft top hood with side-screens and a tonneau cover.

Offered in highly upgraded mechanical condition, this BN7s 2912cc inline 6 cylinder engine has been bored out to 3210cc and is supported by Twin 2 SU carburettors on a performance DMD inlet manifold, an extractor exhaust system, Scorcher electronic ignition, a winged & baffled sump as well as a cable throttle system.

For ease of use with the increased performance, the original Side-Shift gearbox was replaced by a later Centre-Shift gearbox, equipped with a Rally gear knob activated overdrive, the brakes have been power boosted, the front brakes now feature 4 piston Volvo calipers & ventilated discs as well as the fitment of telescopic shock absorbers (Bilstien) front and rear.

For better reliability, the cooling system has been greatly improved, with an alloy radiator, large thermatic fan and an electric water pump (in addition to the mechanical), a spin on oil filter has been installed, a high torque started motor fitted as well as an alternator
