Replacing the Mulsanne Turbo, the new Bentley Turbo R while similar to it's predecessor, earned praise from motor journalists, including Motor Trend, who described the Turbo R as "The first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name".

The main differentiation between the Mulasanne Turbo and the Turbo R, was the 'R', standing for Roadholding, which was Improved by a 50% increase in roll stiffening, while the L stood for Long Wheel Base, denoting the Extra 4 of addition leg room for rear passengers.

Finished in an Attractive shade of white, offset by the prominent red Bentley badges, this Turbo RL is complemented by a sumptuous and beautiful dark blue leather interior and iconic burr walnut veneer dash, console and door cappings.

Well documented from 2009 onwards, the Bentley has been lovingly cared for, including an impressive amount of mechanical works completed since June 2021, exceeding the Turbo RLs asking price. The majority of the recent works have been completed by the very well regarded UK Motors of Airport West. Most recently the automatic transmission was serviced, both ignition amplifiers replaced and new BF Goodrich tyres fitted with the combined work bringing this Bentley back to a superb mechanical condition.

This 1989 Turbo RL features the upgraded twin round headlights (introduced for MY1989), and yet is not fitted with the much maligned active ride suspension (Introduced in MY1990), making this a rare and much desired specification.
