Launched in 1996, the XK8 was available of release in both a coupe and convertible body style, featuring Jaguars new AJ26 4litre V8, equipped with four valves per cylinder and double overhead camshafts, generating 216 kW of power and 393 Nm of torque, capable of propelling the convertible from standstill to 100 kph in 7 seconds. The XK8 is a superb cruiser, commendably quiet, with smooth shifting through the five-speed automatic gearbox.
This Australian delivered XK8 is in beautiful condition having travelled a mere ~49,000 Km since new, and is complete with original books and Jaguar heritage certificate. Finished in the classic English combination of British Racing Green and contrasting Cream Leather interior with walnut trim inserts, sitting on factory 17 alloy wheels, this proves to be a stunning convertible.
Inside the XK8, the suspension noise is well suppressed and the big cat flattens even the worst road imperfections with little disturbance finding its way into the cabin. The electrically operated Black fabric roof operates with the push of a button.
Importantly, in November 2020, at 46,511 Km Jagdaim Automotive of Carrum Downs Vic, replaced the 4 timing belt pre-tensioners and in 2025 after a period of inactivity, Jaguar specialist V&A Spiteri of Blackburn North completed a major service and recommissioning work on the XK8.
