BRITISH STYLE with AMERICAN MUSCLE
In 1986 the Hurlock family sold AC Cars to Brian Angliss which gave him the full trademark rights to the AC name. This sale agreement was only made possible because Angliss met the very high quality production standards required by Derek Hurlock before he would allow the AC name to be used. Angliss then formed a Joint Venture with Ford subsequently producing the AC MkIV 'Cobra', with the cars legitimately bearing both the AC names.
