ULTRA YELLOW LIMITED EDITION 350Z COUPE
To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the first Z car, the Datsun 240Z, Nissan released the Manual only, limited edition 350 Z in 2005, available in Ultra Yellow, Silverstone or Super Black. For the $2,000 premium when new (over the Top Spec Track), in addition to a slight increase in power, features included new design 18 allow wheels, brushed aluminium door handles, a Bose 6-speaker premium sound system and leather interior.
This Ultra Yellow 350Z, having travelled a mere ~92,000 km was delivered new by Garry Rogers Motors (Nissan) on 24/8/2005 to Rowville Victoria. The Anniversary continues the traditional sloping fastback style roof line and bulging guards the Z car is famous for.
The mechanical package lifted power to 221kW @ 6,400 rpm from 206kW @ 6,200 rpm when compared to its sibling Track version, achieved by revised pistons and camshaft profiles and a new control to the variable valve timing, accordingly, the redline was increased by 600 rpm, to 7,000 rpm. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the 35th Anniversarys non-negotiable six speed close ratio gearbox.
Inside the two-seat climate controlled cockpit all controls including the short-shift gear lever are within easy reach. The main instruments are accompanied by a centre triple gauge cluster providing data for battery voltage, oil pressure and digital speed. Safety features include front and side airbags and traction control as well as the practicality of cruise control.
This 350Z provides an opportunity to own a high performance sports car with low kilometres at a reasonable price with the ideal combination of rear wheel drive and manual transmission.
