MEDIUM BLUE METALLIC - TUNED PORT V8
1984's new Corvette C4 boasted a complete new chassis design known as Uniframe construction, rather than the previous separate body on chassis design. In the pursuit of weight reduction, the front coil spring suspension of the previous model was replaced with a fibreglass composite single transverse leaf spring and an anti-sway bar, the body was no longer fibreglass construction but SMC (Sheet Moulded Composite) and the C3's cast-iron brake calipers were replaced with aluminium ones further reducing unsprung weight and improving suspension performance.
This 1985 left hand drive C4 is accompanied by a Carfax report showing it spent time in Utah, Alabama, Texas and finally Arizona before being imported from the U.S. in November 2017 and gaining A.D.R. compliance in June 2018.
Finished in the rare colour of Medium Blue Metallic, the Medium Blue cockpit features black leather seats, including the multi-function electronically adjustable drivers seat allowing for an ideal driving position, whilst the LCD digital instrument panel monitors the vitals, and the factory fitted 4 speaker Delco-Bose stereo radio-cassette sound system can keep you entertained. The RPO (Regular Production Options) label is intact and shows vehicle specific build options, including heavy duty cooling.
This 1985 C4 features the vastly improved 350 cubic inch small block Chev, comprising of the L98 Tuned Port Injection, rated at 230BHP (replacing the L83 Cross-Fire fuel injection, rated at 205BHP), mated to the GM 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. A BBK Power Plus twin 52mm throttle body is fitted providing a claimed 25-35% more air than standard.
