Starting development as a 944 S3, the 968 is famed as the best Straight Four powered car Porsche ever produced. Taking the best mechanics from the S2, the team at Porsche redeveloped almost all of them, leaving just 20% untouched. The styling also undertook a redesign, following the cues of the 928 and the finished product resulted in a rounder and more modern design.
This 968 Porsche drives exceptionally well with its strong 3 litre engine, smooth Tiptronic transmission, 4 wheel discs and 50/50 weight distribution, providing sure footed handling, arguably superior to their rear-engined stablemates at a fraction of the price of the contemporary 911.
